Microneedling at the Crystal Palace Clinic

Microneedling

for skin rejuvenation, scars, acne scarring, pigmentation & stretch marks

What is it?

Micro-needling has seen a dramatic leap in popularity over recent years. It has been used extensively in the medical and cosmetic industry for many years to create transformational facial rejuvenation with collagen induction therapy for treating signs of ageing and for reducing and removing scars, hyperpigmentation and acne.

It can be used to tackle concerns such as skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles (collagen induction therapy), reducing scar tissue, pigmentation, stretch marks, acne and acne scarring. Its use isn't just restricted to facial treatments, it can also be used all over the body, during out facial treatments we also incorporate the neck, chest and hands at no extra charge.

We understand that this page is quite a lengthy read but it prepares you for every step of the treatment and hopefully answers many questions you may have,

We have tried to provide as much information as we can below but if you are unsure or would like to try it but feel a little nervous, we offer a telephone consultation or complimentary in person consultation to discuss the procedure with our Senior Aesthetician.

How does it work?

Microneedling creates tiny micro wounds or "micro-punctures" in the skins surface which in turn kick starts the skins healing mechanism. Depending on the depth, settings and techniques used this can have profound effects on different conditions areas of the skin and its underlying structures for concerns, such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, hyperpigmentation and stretch marks.

We use a medically designed and digitally controlled device that allows us to deliver consistent, controllable treatments with impressive results. Each needle cartridge is sterile and single use ensuring your safety is paramount at all times.

How often do I do it?

Depending on the concern you are choosing to treat, the recommended timings vary slightly;

For fine lines & wrinkles (collagen induction therapy), Rosacea, Stretch marks & Scarring;

4-6 treatments, 6-8 weeks apart or until you achieve the desired results.

For collagen induction it is recommended to have at least four treatments annually.

For acne & acne scarring;
